Casement windows restoration at Keble College

Window restoration at Keble College Oxford

This was a large project completed in 2016 and part of it involved restoring nine opening casements. The metal frames were removed , restored in our workshop and the leaded panels rebuilt with new lead (repairs to a number of stained glass ‘quarries’ were done at the same time) and refitted.

The metal frames were inoperable and in some cases in danger of falling out due to failure of soft-soldered joints and distortion from movement of the listed Victorian high-Gothic building.
